The Symptoms of My Insanity
The Symptoms of My Insanity | Mindy Raf
6 posts | 3 read | 10 to read
For fans of Louise Rennison, Sarah Mlynowski, and Stephanie Perkins comes a laugh-out-loud, bittersweet debut full of wit, wisdom, heart, and a hilarious, unforgettable heroine. It's kind of crazy how you can pay so much attention to yourself and still not see a thing. Izzy is a hypochondriac with enormous boobs that won't stop growing, a mother with a rare disease who's hiding something, a best friend who appears to have undergone a personality transplant, and a date with an out-of-her-league athlete who just spilled Gatorade all over her. Yes, Izzy Skymen has a hectic life. But what Izzy doesn't realize is that these are only minor symptoms of life's insanity. When she discovers that the people she trusts most are withholding from her the biggest secrets, things are about to get epic -- or is it epidemic?

Cute book!! A light, fun read and the main character is just an adorable teenage mess. Ahh, to be young again....

I finally finished! This book was great. Super funny, slightly kooky MC. It also tackles some serious issues but makes them seem approachable. The one thing I hated was that there was no punishment for the kid(s) who were doing things that were "wrong." That's all I can say without spoiling it!

My AP Psychology students are taking their last test before Thanksgiving break. I'm over here contemplating just how ironic the title of my current read is for how I feel these days! Good news is it's Friday, I have next week off, and I'm flying home solo to see my parents! #appsych #vacation #teachersoflitsy

TheLondonBookworm I know nothing about the content but I feel the title is so apt for me right now that I have to read it 😂 8y

I've seen a lot of posts today about #booktober and #bookmarks so I thought I'd join in the fun! These are a few of my fave bookmarks. The middle and right side are ones I bought and colored this past summer (middle for me, right for my mom). The one on the left is, of course, from my local #getindie bookstore @TheBookmarkPR ❤️

britt_brooke So pretty! 8y
WanderingBookaneer Gorgeous! We seriously need to plan a coloring date. 8y
gibblr @britt_brooke Thanks!! @WanderingBookaneer I feel like I haven't colored in years at this point. We def need to schedule it in...along with some read time. 8y
