Bailedbailed

This is an example of a book outsmarting itself. There are so many gimmicky writer tools in here—changing tenses, varying timelines without being clear about it, adding random footnotes—with so little thought seeming to have been given to story. Wow me with the story and then throw in those other bits for interest if you can. Don‘t do this.

Leftcoastzen 🙄😬Can be the worst thing about reading 4y

I have finally laid out my living bingo card for April #bookspinbingo! The tagged book is my #bookspin and Anatomy of a Scandal is my #doublespin. The funny thing is I thought of removing Love Medicine from my stacks but then left it in and it became my anchor at center square! 😆🤦🏼‍♀️ I guess I‘m more likely to read it this month now!

Megabooks I look forward to your living board every month! 4y
Librariana I live for the #livingbingocard and much like Meg, so look forward to it! 🥳🎉 You have such a wide range of interests and always give such thoughtful reviews. Hoping your reading month is rewarding! 4y
BarbaraBB I completely agree with the others! A tiny bit disappointed Piranesi isn‘t on the board 😉😘 4y

Hooked_on_books @BarbaraBB Ha! Nope, I just do the bingo boards with my owned, physical books to try to read them down. But I enjoy laying them out like this. 4y
Hooked_on_books @Megabooks @Librariana Thanks, you two! I have fun laying them all out like this! 4y
BarbaraBB I know. And I‘m always glad you read (only?) printed books just like me! 4y
Hooked_on_books @BarbaraBB I do read some ebooks and find them terribly convenient, but I love the look and feel of a physical book. There‘s nothing like it! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! I also do most of my reading with physical books. I love my Kindle of traveling convenience, or days when I'm going to be running errands or going to multiple appointments where I don't know if I'll have a lot of reading time or only a little, but nothing beats the feel of a real book!! 4y
