Taking a short time to drink coffee, read, enjoy my porch before the hurricane hits tomorrow. My day will be spent at the grocery store with the hordes, dismantling the porch & bringing what i can inside, moving any objects from the yard that can fly. My son‘s anxiety level is sooo high. Maybe the eye will move east???!!

Amiable Right there with you! I went to the store yesterday to avoid the hordes. Hoping the storm isn‘t going to be as bad as predicted since we are only 4 miles from the shore! I‘m not looking forward to potentially days without power. 😖 3y

Amiable @kspenmoll I‘m not worried about the water (other than flooding in Niantic that would impact travel in the rest of town) —I‘m more concerned about the winds on the eastern edge of the landfall. We have a ton of old pine trees in our yard all around the house. 3y

kspenmoll @Amiable Are you ok? We are so so lucky storm petered out. Still raining & some wind her but hope it means less damage. Flooding/ trees still an unknown. 3y

Amiable @kspenmoll We‘re good here! Rain gauge shows that we got about 4 inches, but luckily the heaviest winds were to the east near Stonington so we didn‘t lose any trees. And we didn‘t lose power. I consider this a hurricane win! 👍🏼 Hoping your trees are still standing as well. 3y
