This is, of course, a police procedural so it deals with murder. But, OMG! There was a section in the book that actually made me laugh out loud. My husband looked at me funny and asked what I was laughing at. If you enjoy police procedurals with dark humor I think you‘ll enjoy this series. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

TheSpineView These books do have a bit of humor. I find DCI Tyler Neish to be one of the funniest. Making great progress! 1y
deeannloso @TheSpineView DC Neish is a riot. 😂 1y

Andrew65 @TheSpineView @Deeannloso Logan is so mean to Tyler but leads to some great humorous moments. 1y

“Burdened by guilt over the trauma recently inflicted on his friends and colleagues, former-DCI Jack Logan has spent the past nine months living in self-imposed exile. When a mother and her young daughter are the victims of a double murder staged to look like suicide, Logan is dragged back to help hunt down and catch a brutal, calculating killer. But the world has moved on without him.”

Another great story in the DCI Logan series. The characters are so well thoughtout and there is plenty of character development. I love that you get the suspense of the murder mystery and fast pace of a thriller yet other elements don't suffer. The main character of Jack works so well with the story. Love the gruff exterior mixed with a softer side he tries to hide. 4⭐ An audiobook this time and I loved the narration. He made the story better.

TheSpineView Another book for finished for #SeriesRead2022 3y
