Just as good as The Power of One
I stay at the Ovolo Woolloomooloo in Sydney every year for my birthday. This is one of the many reasons why.
Mixed bag of read and #tbr for #titlewithapropername - I actually didn't know I'd find this many on my shelves. 😁 #readjanuary
So glad to revisit this magical place where the brutality of Apartheid took place. The Power of One is the first and tells of a white boy turned boxer who has a huge heart and love for all people. Tandia is the follow on story and has as many, or more, incredibly wonderful characters. The narrator, Humphrey Bower, is such a great story teller, but my favorite is how the author weaves in the history of the times among his diverse characters.
