bailedThe dialogue was spot on, but portrayed the worst parts of young adulthood. The characters were vapid, self absorbed and catty and I was annoyed and dismayed reading them.
The artwork was great. Evocative and body positive. It kept me going for roughly 2/3 of the volume before I gave up on the story which seemed to be heading nowhere fast.
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️//5; I liked this a lot. It reads a lot like Ghost World with a southern super goth twist. The characters were annoying at times but also kinda relatable. so-soLoved the art in this super creepy look at goth college kid's daily life in a bizarre swampy Florida town. I liked some of the characters and some annoyed me to no end. I'll follow along for another volume to see if it picks up some of the threads it laid out in this volume. But I'm keeping my expectations low.
