Nominee! 2012 Drama League Award for Distinguished Production of a Play In "Seminar," a provocative comedy from Pulitzer Prize nominee Theresa Rebeck, four aspiring young novelists sign up for private writing classes with Leonard (JEFF GOLDBLUM), an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this biting Broadway comedy.

I read this script after I loved the clip I saw. I really wish I got to see it with Alan in. Would‘ve been amazing. I don‘t usually read scripts but I really enjoyed it. I feel like it had a subtle meaning underneath all the book writing etc
I gave this script / book 5 stars ✨

Mehso-so

Four students hire an author to make them better writers over the course of a 10-week period. There are some really humorous moments, as the majority of the characters seem to be dripping with sarcasm. The version I read appeared to have some grammatical errors that I couldn't chalk up to playwright's choice. There were also instances where I felt lost even though I was following along closely, but those could probably clear up when performed.

Ultra-fast read full of mother-flipping truth about writers and writing and human beings.

As a palate cleanser, decided to pick up this up. Blazed through the first half in an hour. If you write, you need to read this. You'll laugh/cry yourself senseless.
