This is a debut read about Liz, who takes a 23 and me DNA kit for fun, and when the results are in it comes up that she is related to a serial killer. Steph Mullin and Nicole Mabry had me hooked from page one. I really liked the parts of the insight into the victims of the killer.

The premise was intriguing, the writing was uneven, the main character was unbearable yet the reviewers on Goodreads gushed about this. I didn't hate it and I wanted to know if my guess about the culprit was right (it was! 🙋‍♀️) but I couldn't get over my annoyance at the whiney, demanding, controlling MC. 🙄

Imagine finding your new family then learning one may be a killer. Its a really interesting premise and searching up family with these DNA sites is very current. The story flickers between Liz and the poor girls that are being taken. I like how that part of the story builds with each pairing. Its quite dark and theres a twist towards the end though I had figured it out just before Liz did. #Netgalley 4*

I was so intrigued by the premise of this book, and this book did not disappoint! Imagine finding out you're adopted by doing a 23andMe test, and then having that test lead to finding out you're related to one of the most notorious and unidentified Serial Killers in your area.
