Oookay, this was interesting and inventive. A bit predictable, though. And like all thrillers it had a few moments where I thought, if people would just talk to each other rather than say "it's better if I don't tell you".

Let's just hope this is definitely closer to fiction than to real life, because otherwise I need to become more paranoid. ?

Thanks for the recommendation @TrishB.

These are very suspend belief thrillers, but I have enjoyed this author so far as an entertaining read. They always start with someone making a really bad decision that you have to accept and just read.
Brain candy, but good brain candy.

julesG Bought it last night. Currently on top of #MountTBR. 🙈 3y
TrishB @julesG enjoy whenever you get to it 😁 3y
rockpools I borrowed this on audio to try, and so far am enjoying the fact I‘m not expected to believe it! 3y

Oh my goodness, I have never read a T M Logan novel before, why did I wait so long?
He is incredible.
Ellen Devlin is desperate for a child of her own to the point its destroying her marriage.
One day while on a train a young mother asks her to hold her baby, Ellen of course is happy to do so.
But then the lady leaves without her child.
Searching the baby bag she finds a note telling her to look after Mia but trust NO one, not even the police.

I have never read any of Logan's work before but all I can say after reading this one is wow!
It totally kept me on the edge of y seat and I compulsively read this til the end.
Ellen Devlin wants a family and her marriage has just broken down.
One day a stranger asks her could she hold her baby daughter for just a few minutes while she takes a call.
But the lady gets off the train and Ellen is stranded with an unknown infant in her care.
