Very powerful poems. May be good or better for middle schoolers due to the interpreted meanings.

I would highly recommend this book, there are some pages full of words and others with only a poem on the page so I liked how different it was. I think elementary students would really enjoy this book of poems!

If the Shoe Doesn‘t Fit

you take it off
of course you take it off
it doesn‘t worry you
it isn‘t your shoe

#poetry

I laughed when I first read this. But then I thought of how many times in my life that I (or others) have tried to make the “shoe” fit me when it clearly didn‘t. And I realized I really needed to hear this poem.

Nute Striking, how it gets the point across so briefly and simply! Brilliant! 3y
