From acclaimed author Jamie Brenner comes a stunning new novel about three generations of women who discover that the scandalous books of their past may just be the key to saving their family's future. For decades, the Hollander Estates winery has been the premier destination for lavish parties and romantic day trips on the North Fork of Long Island. But behind the lush vineyards and majestic estate house, the Hollander family fortunes have suffered and the threat of a sale brings old wounds to the surface. For matriarch Vivian, she fears that this summer season could be their last--and that selling their winery to strangers could expose a dark secret she's harbored for decades. Meanwhile, her daughter, Leah, who was turned away from the business years ago, finds her marriage at a crossroads and returns home for a sorely needed escape. And granddaughter Sadie, grappling with a crisis of her own, runs to the vineyard looking for inspiration. But when Sadie uncovers journals from Vivian's old book club dedicated to scandalous novels of decades past, she realizes that this might be the distraction they all need. Reviving the trashy book club, the Hollander women find that the stories hold the key to their fight not only for the vineyeard, but for the life and love they've wanted all along. Blush is a bighearted story of love, family, and second chances, and an ode to the blockbuster novels that have shaped generations of women.

Another sharp left at my comfort zone. A family winery on the east end of Long Island is being threatened and the father believes it's not salvageable. Enter his daughter who was cut out of the production side because women don't work at wineries. Follow several female characters on their feminist journey via Danielle Steel, Judith Kranz, cheese and potentially a rosé vintage. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

IamIamIam Again, the subject matter wasn't for me but the writing was okay. The character development was poor and you wanted more from these ladies but they took 2 steps forward and 4 backwards until things just turned out the way they expected. They're all overly concerned with their sex lives too... 2y

A generational novel about 3 generations of women in a vineyard family. The hook is a book club the grandmother‘s friends had - reading fun raunchy books like : Scruples, Lace etc back in the day…. .When I was in high school my friends and I passed around a copy of Scruples, it was a page turner 😂. So although there‘s nothing that unique about the story - I did enjoy the naughty nostalgia. So low pick. The audiobook reader is very good

Very enjoyable. Three generations of women (and a few men) work to save their family‘s failing winery. I liked the book club connection. If I had read Jackie Collins, Judith Krantz, etc, I‘m sure I would have liked it even more.

Three generations of women doing their best to save the family winery. I loved the relationships between the grandma, mom, and granddaughter. The family drama was good too. Everyone has their secrets.

I enjoy the family drama but it sort of dragged for me. I loved the generational connection between the grandmother, mother and daughter and how they connected through the grandmother's old book club novels.

I finished this book yesterday evening, sitting on the back deck sipping a glass of wine and listening to the 4th of July Eve fireworks. It seemed appropriate… This was a fantastic book and I loved the ending! As a wine and cheese lover who works very part time for a winery and lives in a town that includes this family's last name, I was hooked! 3 generations of women come together to try and save the family winery while (cont in comments)

TheHeartlandBookFairy overcoming personal obstacles and past secrets. Coming together, overcoming, healing. And perhaps, saving the linery too. I loves with the storyline, how it evolved, and the character development. But there was so much more to this book than just the story… the information about grapes and growing wine grapes, some of the technical info about making wine, A few interesting facts and tidbits that I actually highlighted and, info (cont) 3y
TheHeartlandBookFairy about cheese and wine and cheese pairings. I felt like I got so much more out of this book than just a good story! If you love a good story, love wine, love cheese, then you'll love everything about this book! 3y

4/5 for this one! Oh the family drama in this one. Add in wine and cheese and man I‘m sold. I was pulled into each of these women‘s lives as the story unfolded. I loved the book club in the book too! It was perfect. This was a book of powerful women coming into their own. I just loved it. Thank you to Penguin Putnam Group and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Jamie Brenner has become a mainstay author for me during the summer season. I was delighted when I saw the setting of the new novel Blush is set on the North Fork of Long Island where wineries are most prevalent.

JamieArc This sounds like a great summer read! 3y
