I, shockingly, loved everything about this book! 🤩 Corinne is a super strong main character and makes the whole thing worth it.

I am in the minority on this one!

I‘m extremely intrigued by the blurbs on this one, but also extremely skeptical about whether I‘m going to be able to read it, given the subject matter. I‘m about 50 pages in so far and it‘s not horrible!
A clever Romeo & Juliet tale about Corinne and Enoch who are “misfits” in their own way but find each other in spite of the odds! Lots of sex but not cringe-worthy. More about religion controversy, forgiveness, redemption, and relevant social commentary. I laughed and I cried!
Wow- when I started this yesterday, I wasn‘t prepared for it to be a one-sitting read that kept me up way too late! But Corinne‘s story is a gripping one. Opening in 1992, Corinne grows up in a strictly religious church- never feeling like she belongs. Her relationship with Enoch comes to define her life- even more when she returns to KS 13 years later. It‘s a love story, but also one of family & religion. Compelling & sure to start discussion!
