Well. That was fantastic. I need Hadriel to be my bestie in real life. I loved Finley‘s inner monologue, and how she talks to an audience. Nyfain is not my favorite name, but I get that Welsh/Nordic/Irish etc names are super popular in romantasy right now.

An interesting take on the Beauty & the Beast trope. I think it was a little too dark for me, but I do love her writing. So a cautious pick for me. #romantsy

It isn't badly written but the writing style is just not for me. I had the feeling that a lot of obscene scenes were written with the intention to shock. The humour was also not for me. There were a lot of smexy scenes in the book but they lacked spice and chemistry. I missed the romance, character depth and other things beside the sexy appearance of the main male character.
As I'm the wrong audience for that book I won't continue the series.

Everyone who knows me knows I‘m a sucker for any fairytale retelling. This is no different. This is the first book in a Beauty and the Beast retelling! There was more emotion here than I thought there would be and I liked it more than I thought I would. Excellent book club read for #firereadingwitchqueens #romantsy #readingchallenge2022
