Letting go of all of the should, could, & would‘s of the world, forgive those who‘ve wronged me, & seek the oxymoronic lifestyle of “bold humility.” Boldness in truth - not boldness for attention. And living a lifestyle of love. #biblebuddyread

The thing I‘m noticing in my new Bible is when Scripture is quoting Scripture it‘s bolded…. Anyhoo, I think the answer for me to be prepared I must know the Scripture. #biblebuddyread

BookBabe Haha, yes! 😁 …..And YES! We need God‘s word written on our hearts so we can combat the enemy! ❤️❤️❤️ 2y

Oh wow! This is the first time I‘ve encountered maps in this Bible while in the #biblebuddyread oh how I love my new Bible! I read first the Passion Translation in my Olive Tree app .. then I read in this Bible - but I didn‘t get to this part yesterday so I‘m catching up.

BookBabe This is gorgeous! 😍 Looks like a really great Bible. I‘ve been wishing mine had maps. 2y

Where in your life has God parted the way in front of you when there seemed to be no way? Where did he destroy the enemies that pursued you or obstacles to your journey? #biblebuddyread picture kind of blurry but don‘t want to take it again 🤷🏻‍♀️

#Biblebuddyread This is something that fascinates me and I would love to hear your input!

Mtroiano This shows that the fate of the Israelites was never in Pharaoh‘s hands. God was and still is in control 2y
MelAnn @Mtroiano love this! Thanks so much. 2y
BookBabe Wow @Mtroiano good point! I never could understand WHY the hardening of Pharaoh‘s heart. It‘s like God is playing that game SIMS…ok, let‘s make them fight now! I mean, God could‘ve made the whole thing go so much easier and less stressfully. But I guess it‘s because He wanted to demonstrate His glory, so that everyone would say “He is the God who led the Israelites out of the desert and parted the sea and performed great miracles.” 2y

Ooh I love this challenge! So today, burnish bush is definitely one. I also think that Moses escaping death as a baby - God had a hand in that as well. Will consider what these say about God‘s character. #biblebuddyread

Butterfinger I would also add - his mother being able to raise him. 2y
MelAnn @Butterfinger most definitely! 2y

#Biblebuddyread I love my Bible notes on the Jacob / Israel story. I never realIzed the significance of the name change! Jacob was known as a deceived so his name included this as a part of his identity. God gave him a new identity: Israel

An encouraging word over a story that‘s hard to reconcile with my own understanding .. a willingness to sacrifice one‘s son without hesitation. .. #Biblebuddyread I love the extras in my Bible so much!

BookBabe Wow, yes! I‘ve always struggled with that passage too. But God is good! ❤️ That Bible really looks wonderful… I think I will be adding that to my wish list! 😊 2y
MelAnn @BookBabe I love it so much! I bought it as a gift for myself last year. 2y

I‘m going back through today‘s reading in my Love God Greatly NET and I love this question asked in the margins today. Sit with this a moment. #Biblebuddyread #christian #dailybiblereading #bibleinayear

BookBabe Wow yes. Considering her circumstances, she probably wasn‘t feeling very seen or loved. 2y
BookBabe Funny. I had always felt resentful toward Hagar until I “sat with this a moment,” as you said! 😮 Now I‘m suddenly hit with a wave of compassion for her. 2y

I‘m reading through the Bible with the 2022 #Biblebuddyread I‘m using my Bible I love that I can hold & turn the pages plus also reading through on my Bible app in another version. It has great stories, questions & devotions. This is from the Genesis introduction for my reading today. (The book we are working through The Bible in 52 Weeks and when I quote from that book I will tag that book)

BookBabe Lovely! I‘ve heard good things about this Bible. Thank you for sharing this with us! 💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 2y
