In a beautiful area of the Northwest close to the sleepy town of Misted Pines. Its perfect. So perfect, Delphine has just moved in, and shes thinking shell stay there forever. Until she sees the girl in the mist. After that, everything changes. Delphine quickly learns that Misted Pines isnt so sleepy. A little girl has gone missing, and the town is in the grips of terror and tragedy. The local sheriff isnt up for the job. The citizens are up in arms. And as the case unfolds, the seedy underbelly of a quiet community is exposed, layer by layer. But most importantly, girls are dying. There seems to be only one man they trust to find out whats happening. The mysterious Cade Bohannan.

Around Christmas time my favorite author said she was trying something new and there would be a surprise winter release! I‘ve selected this book as my 2022 selection! For the 40 year reading challenge!Another new series with great cast of characters and a suspense storyline with plenty of twists! And of course her trademark dialogue and alpha hero! #19822022 #romantsy @Librarybelle

Librarybelle Hooray! And so awesome it‘s by a favorite author of yours! 2y

Mehso-so

Trademark KA characters and dialog, which I enjoyed. However, the book just needed a bit more editing. The suspense part of the story is weak, I enjoyed the ending but the path there was meh. 3⭐️

When Kristen Ashley said she‘s trying something new with romantic suspense I was 100% in. There was a lot going on in this book so I‘ll tell you what I loved. the MCs are both in their 50s and know what they want in life and in a relationship, the supporting characters were fantastic as usual - I can‘t wait for more from this little town. The mystery and suspense was spot on, I think the twist got a bit confusing, but the ending was great.
