A journey of hideouts, waiting, drinking, surviving, desire. I did find it a little immature, a teenagers impatience and desires. Enjoyed the settings and insight into a world of the petty criminal 60s France and she did have a great voice.

Thank you for the #cult5 tag, @Cathythoughts. And thanks @Marchpane, I'm going go with your definition of cult novels as books that are unique or transgressive 😀 Or those with a niche audience.
The Piano Teacher, Elfriede Jelinek
The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath
American Psycho, Bret Easton Ellis
Astragal, Albertine Sarrazin
Our Lady of the Flowers, Jean Genet
Would love to see yours @Leftcoastzen @Billypar @vivastory @REPollock @rohit-sawant
Trying to cure my post @24in48 readathon / Monday blues with this gem that I found in London at Foyles.
I am dumbstruck at how much fun it is to book shop in London. It's like seeing your best friends who have all gotten full makeovers with new wardrobe, hair, makeup, etc. I am having the best time looking at books I love with new jackets and covers. And finding British gems. I can't wait to get these home! 📚🇬🇧❤️
