Continues to be a well-paced and well-plotted AI/robots with feelings series, though there are a number of other alien races involved. I don't feel like I'm losing track of characters though they are pretty regularly introducing new people and new worlds. Space adventure with intrigue and violence that still manages for the most part to be lighter both in mood and colouring then I initially feared. 🤖♥️

The continuing saga of Tim-21, a little robot created to be a companion to a human. Tim-21 has been separated from his human friend and is now caught up in an interplanetary war between robots and humans. Text by Jeff Lemire and gorgeous art by Dustin Nguyen. Volume 2 of this graphic novel is even better than the first and I‘m on to volume 3 as soon as I get my hands on a copy. #CanadianAuthor #comics

In VE Schwab‘s Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, the Old God/Devil character has scary green eyes. I can now visualize, via Dustin Nguyen‘s art for the tagged book, just how eerie green eyes can be.

Dustin Nguyen‘s watercolours in this graphic novel are so beautiful. I love seeing the texture of the paper, the way the colours layer, and also bleed into the gutters. 😍

Excellent second volume in this amazing series! To be a book where robots are the main characters, there is so much emotion in the actions that I forget they're machines.

This one left me on a cliffhanger so now it's time to locate volume 3 somewhere so I can read it. 😀

This graphic novel really doesn‘t slow down! Love the art style, it‘s soft and pleasing to look at. I like how distinct the characters are and overall I like the direction this is going. Though if anything happens to Bandit (cute robot dog on cover)....I will most certainly not be pleased...in any capacity.

Much more captivating than the first volume! Now my problem is that my library doesn‘t have any more volumes 😭 What am I to do?

coffeenebula I hate when that happens! Sometimes I‘m able to make purchase requests, or the library can borrow it from another library system. Good luck! 7y
xicanti If you're keen enough that you'd like to own some of the series, I think Image's 50% off sale is still happening on comiXology. 7y

Here‘s the thing—you‘re never too old/mature to enjoy a great story told with pictures & words. Case in point, this graphic novel which is the story of Tim-21, a robot trying to stay one step ahead of the humans who would kill him & everyone like him. Oh, and family drama too. The story is compelling & full of emotional heft due, in no small part, to the exquisite artwork—with the tone & feel of watercolors—& I look forward to Vol. 3.❤️🤖❤️

Love this cover and I‘m excited to move from a dark fairy tale to robots. And I know I said it already but I‘m saying it again—this cover! So cool.

I love the art style!!! Does anyone know if it was drawn and colored digitally or not?

Serotonin I'm not sure, but I certainly love the watercolor effect 😉 👍 8y

I found this second volume just as good as the first one! I love Tim-21, he's so adorable! 😊 The cliffhanger ending was frustrating though haha--good thing volume 3 is supposed to come out later this month!

More stunning Descender watercolors!! 🎨 Captain Telsa's hair makes her so photogenic, doesn't it? 😋💕 Volume Two: Machine Moon adds some more major characters and a storyline that will intertwine with Tim's. I'm so grouchy I have to wait until December for volume three!! 😣
