Finding Daniel
Finding Daniel | Daniel Brink
1 post | 1 read
Have you ever lost something so important that you felt like you couldn't continue living? What if that 'something' was actually your identity. For Daniel, that was what he was yearning to find. Being put up for adoption had left him with heart-wrenching, and existential questions. Plagued by the fear of everyone leaving him, Daniel decided it was his turn to pack up and walk away. Over the course of four years, he met life-changing people, found answers to his questions and in the end found something more than he was looking for. This story has a universal message for anyone who has ever felt lost. Author Daniel Brink hopes that in reading this story, those who are lost will find a piece of themselves.

Time of death: 152/320 pages

My mom heard about this book from family. It was written by the adopted son of my father's niece. Look, I've never written a book. I'm sure it's a great undertaking, as well as self-publishing, and baring your soul with a memoir of sorts can be even more tricky. That said, I just can't continue. The book needs an editor. Badly. I never met the guy (hello huge family!) so I'm not invested in his ramblings, which ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick sound a lot like letters about vacations I wrote to my BFFs in grade school. I'm sorry that he feels his birth parents left him before they knew him, and many others leave him, but it sounds like he's had a decent life so far. I just can't make myself go on. I'll ask mom for the Cliff's Notes version and pass it on to the next relative in line.
