Claire, Reyva, & Mariana are late arrivals to summer camp. They are dropped off at the dock & hike up to the lodge. It's very quiet - too quiet -& there's a strange smell in the air but Claire can't quite place it. When they reach the lodge, it has been burned to the ground & it seems that there were no survivors. The 3 girls are now trapped with little food & water, no phone signal, & no-one will come looking for them for over a month. (Cont.)

OutsmartYourShelf I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The 3 girls were great characters & it was nice to see them develop a friendship rather than the usual 'teen girls gotta be antagonistic' plot that seems to crop up. I wasn't quite sure if there was going to be a paranormal aspect to the story &, tbh, the ending was rather incongruous to the rest of the story for me. Entertaining read though. 4🌟 1y

4⭐
At times this tried too hard and came off as somewhat melodramatic…but otherwise, it was engaging and I never saw this going in the direction it did. It vibed with Lost (the TV show) in quite a few aspects, which is probably what I liked best about it…although this had a better ending than the show did. So, that may be why it got a whole 4-stars from me…despite being disappointed by the choice to go with only one narrator.
