A good, quick, little thriller

Well, that was a twisty ride. The title of this novel is deceptively simple. What could possibly go wrong when two couples decide to take a day hike in the mountains? More than you could possibly imagine. Sibling rivalry, missed inheritance, lies, deceit, death, destruction. I did not guess that ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was an Amazon First Reads. These were some the most over-the-top unlikeable characters I've ever read, and I did not enjoy not liking them in this case. Not one of them had any redeeming qualities. The plot kept me interested though.

4 loathsome people go hiking in the Alps but only 2 come back. There was a lot going on here but it kept my attention throughout and I appreciated the last revelation at the end.
