This was a 5⭐️ read for me. I great twisty thriller. I didn‘t guess the end. Never read this author before, but definitely going to read more by her. Check the trigger warnings, it‘s a story of a child abduction.

This one was just Ok for me.an interesting story, but a little dry and spread over too long of a time period. There was a lot of factual information that was new to me though

Karisimo Have you read other titles by Marie Benedict? They always fall flat for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ 2w

I can‘t remember where I got the recommendation for this book. This was a very eye opening perspective of poverty for children. What‘s it‘s like to be a kid who is so poor they can‘t afford food and still trying to fit in with friends and be a good human and not feel shame. It‘s a very quick read.

This was a great read. It really delves into the complicated relationships between women, both in family and in friends. It also address all the ways being a women requires special knowledge care. Could not picture a man being able to get through reading this book. Lots of talk about blood.

Way to much like a soap opera for me. Twists were predictable and it was over dramatic.

This book was very thought provoking. You can‘t fit love and mothering into a mold to make some one ‘good.‘ Also an interesting narrative on how women and men are treated so differently in the expectations of parenting.

This was a fun book to read. The beginning takes place during a SNL style show. The middle is an email correspondence ( I love reading stories told through letters ) and the end ties everything together. Romantic without being cheesy and a great representation of a persons self consciousness in a relationships.

This was an entertaining and quirky story with very deep underlying themes surrounding motherhood and parenthood in general. It really makes you think about the very complex mother daughter relationship but in sweet way. Chick flick style teardrops for me at the end 💧

I wanted this to be more. It was an interesting biography/ autobiography of two men with the same name and growing up in similar circumstances. But it he doesn‘t hypothesize or comment on why one ends up a Rhode scholar and the other in prison.

It takes a solid 100-150 pages to feel like your following the multiple story lines. It all starts to pay off around page 500 or so when the author eloquently intertwines the stories. A beautiful piece of art

I enjoyed this thriller, but could be totally triggering for eating disorders, sexual abuse and gun violence. Definitely not for everyone. Looking forward to watching the movie. I think it‘s a good representation of just how complicated mental health is and how impactful peer acceptance is for teenagers.
