This was such a cute and heartwarming read!

The story is told in dual timelines, one set in 1987 and the other in the 1930s/1940s. The dual timelines was executed well.

As for the characters, I loved the three main characters, Harlow, Matt, and Tuesday. Harlow was my favorite. I enjoyed seeing her character grow and take charge of her life.

Another great read from Natasha Preston. Full of mystery, intrigue, and twists up to the final pages. Natasha Preston never disappoints when it comes to her thriller novels. I can‘t wait to read her other books. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Monstrous Thing | Mackenzi Lee

Mary‘s house was long out of sight, and through the street around us was full of people, it felt for a moment like there was no one there but the two of us. Just Clémence and me, and without saying anything to each other, we started walking again at the exact same moment.
Side by side, and sure as clockwork.

NYT List of the The100Best Books of the 21st Century is out!

I love a book list. Lots of thoughts on this one. It is strange to me that there are so many authors with multiple books, while genres like Sci-Fi and romance were mostly ignored.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/books/best-books-21st-century.html?auth...

ChaoticMissAdventures I read 48 and have 4 at home waiting to be read. 3d
Decalino Agreed! These lists are never perfect but this one was pretty strange. Also, why combine fiction and non-fiction? I feel like those should be separate. 3d
ChaoticMissAdventures @Decalino I read most of the nonfiction books, and for sure there are enough fantastic ones that they could have made a whole other list and given those spots to a wider variety of fiction authors/books 3d
