pickThis may be a short novella, but it sure is horrifying. Miller is about to marry her girlfriend, but before that happens she wants to try and reconcile with her estranged mother by spending a weekend away together. Unfortunately her mother has other plans. This book stressed me out from start to finish.

pickBooks of Horror Indie Author Brawl! This was a hard read, because the conversations between miller and her mother were so triggering. That trapped feeling of having your words twisted and your mind messed with is suffocating and traumatic, and the true horror of the story. The rest was just icing on the cake.
panMost like this more than I did. It was all too predictable to get truly immersed in the story. It is well written, just wish she had twisted the trope in a new way.

If you‘re looking for a quick and brutal read that will have you gasping at each scene, then this is a great book for you!

pickIf you have that one family member who loves to answer a question with a question, loves being oblivious to how cringey hateful they are to you but then turn the tables on you, and morphs into their “poor me!” victim stance, and you‘d love to read a book with a character just like THAT, well have I got the book for you. Miller is gonna try to spend the weekend with her estranged mother, Sylvie, to try and repair their relationship at a remote 👇🏼
