Mid range historical fiction. Definitely not bad but nothing to really grab me. It really is an interesting situation to think about. I wouldn‘t know what I‘d do.

I have been a lot of historical fiction lately but this book still managed to surprise me in the best way. A young mother in WWII trapped into living with her disapproving parents and who only wants to raise her daughter as best she can. Faced with a horrible choice and even worse consequences she must face her past and fight for her future. I don‘t want to give too much away and I enjoyed that this book felt unexpected and fresh.

Ready for bed. Lost my ebook back to Netgalley while I was reading. So I‘m reading physical books for a while. Irritated with Netgalley for the moment…
As always, Ms. Kelly's masterful, engrossing writing style has you not wanting to stop reading for many reasons, but mostly for the characters and the themes of family, forgiving, and learning to live life the way it should be lived.
Don't miss Ms. Kelly's newest gem...it is FAB!! 5/5

I absolutely loved this book. It's a very heartwarming story of a young woman and her strange marriage and beautiful child. One that will stick with me for a while. Julia Kelly has hit this out of the park for sure.
