Return to the gritty, alluring world of steampunk with the New York Times bestselling author of The Iron Duke. Growing up in the dangerous world of the Iron Seas, the mercenary captain of the airship Lady Corsair, Yasmeen, has learned to keep her heart hard as steel. Ruthless and cunning, her only loyalty is to her ship and her crew-until one man comes along and changes everything...Treasurehunter Archimedes Fox isn't interested in the Lady Corsair-just the captain and the valuable da Vinci sketch she stole from him. When it attracts a dangerous amount of attention, Yasmeen and Archimedes journey to Horde-occupied Morocco- and straight into enemy hands.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

I enjoyed this. I was expecting it to be more of a direct sequel to the Iron Duke, but it's more of a companion book. As far as I remember there's only one shared character. I was really curious about the alternate world that the author created.

#tallshipcelebration @CrowCAH In this novel of The Iron Seas, the fabulous #Captain Corsair meets her match in treasure hunter Archimedes Fox. And he‘s not bad to look at either!

CrowCAH The cover sold me! 😍 Aye Aye Captain! 5y
AutumnRLS I seriously just bought this entire series and all the compilation books with short stories from this universe! I read the first one back when Felicia Day's Vaginal Fantasy Bookclub did it over on Google Hangouts. I started thinking about how I never read any more of them and needed to. I'm frustrated that a couple of the short stories are basically only available for e-reading :( 5y
StayCurious @AutumnRLS yeah some of them you have to search for but the series is great! 5y

4. If you don‘t mind a little romance: Meljean Brook‘s The Iron Seas series. First one is tagged.

Is it weird that I could answer these questions without having to think about them?🧐😁

LibrarianRyan Not weird at all. And I like that series too. ⭐️👍🏻🧐🚂 6y

Second in the series. Can be read as a stand alone, but the first book helps you make connections in this one. I love the way Meljean Brook‘s writes steampunk. This world is awesome and her female characters are bada$$ but still with a soft side. Yasmeen is the Captain of her airship and her world changes once she allows Archimedes on board. Their romance is sweet. The action is fun to read. Great book, looking forward to book 3.

CoffeeK8 This is such a great series... she needs to come out with some new books again soon 7y
