I wish a couple of Natalie's friends had been held a little more accountable for their bad manners, but I just loved her navigating her grief and finding new meaning with Tom and Joe. The banter especially was so good! #womensfiction #contemporaryromance
A lovely P.S. I Love You flavored contemporary romance examining the personal nature of grief. Gently written with a naturally developing plot following heartbreak, friendship, & love. Heartwarming story that isn't full of fluff & contains a protagonist who feels unapologetically real. There are moments of levity in the banter, but the narrative is more seriously centered & things move at a slow burn. An enjoyable, contemplative read.
Ahh, Louis has done it again!! I just adore her latest! Since first reading DEAR EMMIE BLUE, Louis shot up to one of my favorite authors and her fourth novel doesn‘t disappoint! I laughed, I cried (and cried some more) and didn‘t want it to end! Songwriter Natalie lost her husband over two years ago, but the first glimmers of hope come from mysterious but significant sheet music seemingly left for her at the public piano in the train station…
This is my third book from Louis, and I‘ve loved them all (but this one not quite as much as the two previous). What I love most about her books are the unique and interesting storylines (and her characters aren‘t too shabby either). Natalie is a widow (early 30s) who is having trouble moving forward and finding her “old” self (if there‘s one to get back to). As an accomplished pianist, she begins playing an old public piano at a London train 🔻
