so-soI was craving a space horror and this one was recommended frequently. I liked the premise and the psychological horror. I had a minor gripe with the characters, especially Sasha. I didn‘t like how she treated Zhang, and I thought the romance was just kinda dumb. I do wish the horror had been amped up. But it was very fast paced with constant action. I‘m excited to see what horrible scene they stumble on as they explore their final destination.
pickSasha is sent to a colony planet in a far solar system to “check on” the colony, which she assumes is a punishment for a recent decision. When she and the other crew of her ship arrive, the action starts and doesn‘t let off. I was glued to every page and just loved this, which was great, as I didn‘t have much luck with a previous DW book. I can‘t wait for the next book!

I've been loving the library lately, just checked this one out.
so-soAs a long time David Wellington fan, not only was this my least favorite book, but I was incredibly annoyed to end the book with “to be continued.” Storyline was mostly rock solid, most of the characters were spot on, but the AI, Rapscallion, and Petrova‘s mother were so elementary compared to his usual character development. I‘ll read the sequel, but I‘ll get it from the library.

pick🎧 I get the feeling that this book is much longer than the Audio ARC. Fantastic sci-fi/horror.
I suppose buying the book means I‘m recommending it.

A Firewatch inspector badass
As they approach Paradise they are attacked and their ship is totaled and Artemis in a reboot repeat cycle.
