Dinner and some fun reading of the top 10 restaurants in America according to Bon Appétit. San Francisco has one on the list I know, but I can‘t wait to see what else is on it! My favorite issue of the year.

Looks like I‘m right on trend for my go-to summer lunch 🍅! Love this magazine and when it comes in I just get so happy to read it!

Flaneurette I can totally eat some variation on caprese every day, I NEVER get sick of it. Last year I discovered Trader Joe‘s balsamic glaze and this year I‘ve been obsessed with burrata so I always enjoy your photos! 6y

Every Thanksgiving Eve my husband makes cranberry cherry relish & a ginger applesauce cake with ginger whipped cream. We save the relish (has to solidify, chill, integrate flavors) but we cannot resist the cake.

valeriegeary Oh that cake sounds scrumptious! 6y

I love actor and author Jason Segal's rules for dining out alone.

Pruzy But do I sit at the bar or take a table 7y
xicanti @Pruzy in the blurb below, it seems like he advocates for sitting at the bar so you can talk to everyone else who's sitting at the bar. Me, I keep my book out to avoid that. 7y
mcipher @Pruzy I think it depends on your mood and the vibe of the place. I've enjoyed both places and usually don't get sucked into conversions I don't want! 7y

Pruzy @mcipher Good to know! 7y
Pruzy @xicanti Haha, that‘s fair! 7y
MinDea I used to have to travel for work a lot and I always went out to dinner alone with either my work laptop or a good book. Helped not make me feel like I was eating dinner all alone! 7y
angrylilasian I love reading when I'm eating out alone. It's a rare luxury! 7y
mrozzz Perfect and accurate. 7y
RadicalReader @xicanti I agree with your list one hundred percent of what‘s not simply needed but required if Going Out to lunch/dinner alone 7y

I used to buy the #bonappetit Thanksgiving issue every year because I was in charge of cooking dinner (my mom can both burn and undercook a turkey at the same time). We haven't done a big dinner in years so I am trying to weed through all of my old issues and cookbooks to create space for my new books with little success. My oven doesn't even really work but it is so hard to give them up. #augustgrrrl

Cinfhen I used to LOVE those issues, too🍽😃so much fun to get menu inspiration 💡 7y
Dragon I love Christmas magazines and I have a hard time recycling them. 🐉 7y
