The Wellbeing Book
The Wellbeing Book: 50 Ways to Master Your Mind, Boost Your Body and Supercharge Your Soul | Andrew Sharman
1 post
As our lives get busier, boundaries between work and leisure blur and we spend less time thinking about what we're putting our minds, bodies and souls through. This fast-living is resulting in a pandemic of "ill-being": from general weariness and "feeling under the weather," to prolonged bouts of sickness, lethargy and sharp increases in stress, depression and mental health issues. The Wellbeing Book will demonstrate how we can interact with the world to lead a better life. The author provides 50 practical and uplifting ways to improve physical and mental wellbeing by focusing on the mind, body and soul. In doing so, he helps us to hit the pause button and learn how to enhance our energy and build resilience, cultivate our emotional and physical wellbeing, manage stress and live a happier and more fulfilled life.

A quick reminder that things always change. We are capable of adapting to our current situations. Our attention should be given to how we cope with these changes. Anxiety and overwhelm can disrupt these processes.
What do you do to help yourself through unsettled periods?

BookmarkTavern I‘ve recently started meditating, and I‘m surprised how helpful it‘s been centering myself! 10mo
Catsandbooks This has been one of the most stressful and overwhelming years I've had in almost a decade. Going to therapy and learning coping mechanisms has been the biggest help. Most of the time I would find solace in my hobbies like reading or art. But lately even that's been hard to focus on. One thing I'm trying to do is get better sleep. 10mo
Catsandbooks Something I find helpful when I'm struggling with my mental health is to take a shower. Ik it's a simple thing but for me it's so cleansing in more ways than one lol. Like it's great reset for me. I try to ground myself by focusing on the smells, how the soap feels, the warmth of the water, etc. For me water is such a powerful thing, whether I'm in it or drinking it 😂 10mo

AllDebooks @Catsandbooks I'm so sorry it's been a tough year. I always take respite in books to escape difficult times, if only for a wee while. I really struggled last year and found I was too stressed to read, which exacerbated all the stress. I switched to audiobooks or short stories until life became settled again. 10mo
TheBookHippie I forgot YOGA!!!! 😵‍💫🤷🏻‍♀️ everyday. 10mo
