I am planning on reading one chapter from Far From The Tree a day, there are 12 chapters but I am looking realistically at a full 2 weeks I understand it is a dense one.

pickOn Tuesday I facilitated a discussion on this for the Keuka Compass LGBTQ+ Book Club. We had a vibrant conversation about whitewashing, trans and queer misogyny, policing and prisons, and activism. While I still get anxious after events like this from the crash post-socializing, my community groups have been a lifeline recently in addition to powerful books like this one. #stonewall #lgbtqia+ #solidarity
pickA quick and powerful read. It's got guts and heart: visceral and emotional. The conversations are between Miss Major and her assistant/found-grandchild Toshio, and it's like sitting around the table with them hearing these incredible, heartbreaking, heartwarming stories.
Her life has often been hard, & her language reflects the places she's been and experiences she's survived and thrived after. An important addition to Black Trans History 5✨🏳️⚧️

More poetry books, which I've somewhat neglected this year; and two biography/memoirs: 1: Brian Eno (so a soundtrack of glam rock phasing into art rock phasing into worldbeat phasing into ambient for that one, undoubtedly with some David Bowie slipped in); 2: an interview with Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, veteran of the Stonewall Riots, and a Black, Trans activist, who I know nothing about and intend to rectify imminently!
