Hi Litsy friends! Please meet Pixel. He's a mini goldendoodle. We're four weeks in, and it has been quite the learning curve for us both. Thankfully he's quite content to let me read when he naps.

All puppy advice appreciated!

AmyG Adorable! 2y
Soubhiville Advice from resident Litsy groomer: start grooming appointments ASAP and take him every 6-8 weeks. Find a groomer you like and he likes and stick with them. It‘s very important he get used to it early as Doodles are the most high maintenance “breed” out there. If you don‘t brush and comb regularly he will Matt and you will have to shave him. 2y
Soubhiville (If you meant general puppy advice, I‘ll happily answer questions too 🙂. Congrats!) 2y

Karisa Aw! He‘s adorable! My family is getting a puppy in about 10 days so I feel you. I‘ve been bingeing Zak George puppy training videos on YouTube, reading books, and have us signed up for a puppy training class already. So much more to learn than cats! 🤣 2y
5feet.of.fury I have no puppy advice but he‘s such a cutie!! 🐶😍 2y
dabbe Hello, Precious Pixel! My advice would be to have your parent take you for a walk every day (unless it's too hot). That will satisfy your curiosity and give your puppyness some exercise! 🖤🐾🖤 2y
Zuhkeeyah @Soubhiville Yes to all the advice. He's too young to take to the groomers but I've been brushing almost everyday at home along with trimming nails and cleaning ears. Hopefully he'll be a good pup once he gets to the professionals. 2y
Zuhkeeyah @Karisa Zak is the best! I also binged them right before getting this guy. He has solid advice. Sadly, there are no 3-6 month classes by me but he's almost old enough for the 4 month classes I could find. 2y
Zuhkeeyah @dabbe Yes! I get him outside as often as possible. Helps both of us sleep better 😅 2y
Karisa @Zuhkeeyah That‘s going to be my goal too. Getting him out and about asap. Sounds like Pixel is a lucky puppy with you 💗 2y
