Matt, the love interest, is just a bit too perfect – if a male main character in a romance book can even be such a thing. Bonam-Young clearly knows just how hard to push the bounds of realism for the reader. With a caveat for trigger warnings (anxiety, grief, and PTSD), I‘d happily recommend Next To You to anyone looking for a spicy read with a hot mess heroine. The sequel to Next of Kin, focusing on Lane and Matt. I enjoyed this one more. Lane‘s anxiety made her very relatable. She needed someone like Matt, oh wait, I think we all need a total package like Matt!! Book #82 in 2024

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD. My favorite of hers so far! I love the very real characters she brings to life, with very real (and relatable) complexities and representation. And the SPICE! 🌶 Just so good, can't wait till her next book release.
