Kevin Hancocks personal journey holds universal messages for people at all levels of business and community. The Seventh Powers new, more inclusive approach to leadership and management will give you important insights into your life, your career, and your company. Chip Conley, Hospitality Entrepreneur and Bestselling Author Many business books have discussed management, innovation, culture, and how to be great, but none grab you like Kevin Hancock's The Seventh Power: One CEOs Journey Into the Business of Shared Leadership. One has to admire what Kevin has accomplished after experiencing a serious speech impediment. Kevin takes what most of us would be an insurmountable challenge and uses it as a learning tool to make himself, those around him, and his company better. The Seventh Power is not only a good read, it's a must read for all aspiring leaders and even those of us who have been around a while. It's never too late to learn! Rick Holley, Chairman of the Board, Weyerhaeuser Company In his latest book, The Seventh Power, business visionary Kevin Hancock lays out a practical plan for how to make businesses more profitable and healthy, so that everyonecustomers, owners, and employeesall flourish. I highly recommend this groundbreaking book. #ReadAway2024

Read for work, mostly on the plane to Maine‘s couple of weeks ago. This is a great book about community & shared leadership, made even better for having spent time with the author & his team/company to see it in practice.

#Naturalitsy #HyggeHourReadathon part 2.
I spent $8 for wifi during the flight mainly to test my earbuds with AirFly that I bought to stream sound from iPhone & inflight entertainment. I watched the pictured movie with dinner (Good, but I didn‘t know I was going to 😢) & now I‘m trying to read the book for work I need to read before Tuesday, so I have Crazy Rich Asians on for the background.😉 I‘ve seen it enough I don‘t need to pay attention.

Thank you to @Read4life & @Eggs for the #WhatsNewWednesday tag! 🤗

So, I just found out that I am going on a business trip to Maine next month, about the farthest you can get from Hawaii in the U.S. Am I excited? Sort of… I‘m happy to be included with our executive team to visit the company (the CEO wrote the tagged book which is now on my TBR for April/May) & to learn about their culture. Am I excited to fly all the way there? Not so much. ⬇️

DebinHawaii …I haven‘t done a major trip like this for ages now, so even having flown all over the world for previous jobs, TBH as it‘s been a while, it intimidates me. But yay for🦞& visiting a state I have not yet! We arrive on a Monday afternoon start sessions on Tuesday & are out & headed to Boston that Thursday, flying back to Hawaii on Friday so very little downtime & I probably won‘t see much but it should be interesting. 7mo
kspenmoll Best of luck! I understand your feelings. Although not as far as Hawaii, I am flying to CA in May for a family wedding. And yours is for work, not pleasure. See if you can build in even a few minutes for you. 🩷💜💚 And yes, yay for Maine lobster/rolls! (edited) 7mo
Read4life Thanks for sharing! That is definitely a quick turnaround given how far you‘re traveling. I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip and find some time for yourself to explore. 💙💙💙 7mo
