The Gift: A Novel | Richard Paul Evans
3 posts | 10 read | 4 to read
A heartwarming and inspirational Christmas novel in the tradition of The Christmas Box and Finding Noel from New York Times bestselling author Richard Paul Evans. Sure to be a classic, this new tale brings to life the joy of the season and demonstrates the redemptive power of love: there is no hurt so great that love cannot heal it. Nathan Hurst hated Christmas. For the rest of the world it was a day of joy and celebration; for Nathan it was simply a reminder of the event that destroyed his childhood until a snowstorm, a cancelled flight, and an unexpected meeting with a young mother and her very special son would show him that Christmas is indeed the season of miracles. From the beloved author of the international bestseller The Christmas Box comes another timeless story of faith, hope, and healing.

My recent #bookhaul for a grand total of $7.50! 😁📚🤩 The Last of the Mohicans is a gorgeous illustrated copy and nothing was over a dollar. Not bad for the first (of many lol) bookhaul of the year.

Pickpick

I‘m reading through a stack of Richard Paul Evans this month. I find it fascinating that he tells such full stories in his little books. There‘s certainly a theme, but I don‘t find them preachy. They are more like parables where you take from the story what you will. Although the sick/dying child is not my preferred way to receive a message, I find I rather like reading these pretty little books.

marleed @Scochrane26 I see them often at thrift stores and decided to collect a stack for a December readathon. Most are not necessarily holiday settings but I get the connection with the messages to be a better man. (edited) 5y
