This sapphic retelling alternates between diary entries from Lucy's time as a human, interviews about her past as a vampire, and the modern day perspective of Iris Godalming. Having just read Dracula for the first time, I loved how White re-intrepreted things and explained certain plot holes. An outstanding retelling.

pickI cannot even believe how much I love this book! It definitely has a slow pace, so don't go in expecting many action scenes until closer to the end. But if you're looking for a very detailed, thought invoking, queer story that gives Lucy Westerna back the agency she always deserved - I think you will love this book as much as I did! ❤️❤️❤️
