A thorough explanation of everything you never knew you needed to know about gynecological health.
Wow! There‘s a part of me that‘s embarrassed about everything I didn‘t know in this book, but more of me is angry. For most of my life I thought debilitating pain & long heavy periods was all normal. It was nearly 20 years with a period before a doctor took me seriously.
I should have known better. I should have been taught better. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕

mrsmarch The onus should not be on the patient to have more medical knowledge than the doctor and convince the doctors something is wrong. Shame on your doctors who for twenty years did not educate you about your body or take your pain seriously. I have friends who are doctors who get mad at my doctors for not telling me stuff and putting the shame of medical onus on me. 6mo
PuddleJumper Glad there are more books coming out that are talking about things like this. It's not just lack of knowledge but also medical bias. I work a lot with clients with endo and most of them don't get diagnosed for years and usually only when surgical intervention is needed 6mo
willaful @PuddleJumper I never did get any help, except that one doctor put me on codeine for the pain. Was saved only by pregnancy and then menopause. Not that it was definitely endo -- who the hell knows? -- but it was *something* 🤬 6mo
