This book has mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. It‘s quite the slow burner to begin with but then the action hots up and becomes quite gripping. There are elements of the supernatural as well as mythological ingredients. I was interested to find out that there really is a puzzle wood, https://www.puzzlewood.net/. Hobbits spring to mind! 🙂. The writing is atmospheric and it‘s just a little different. A good creepy, gothic mystery.

A library book. This has mixed reviews so I wonder what I will make of it? It sounds right up my street so hope I won‘t be disappointed. 🤔.

May's stinker was The Puzzle Wood. I might have had too high expectations. The ARC read like an early draft. The finished novel might be more well-polished and historical inaccuracies might have been edited out.

Let's see what June brings.
