I hate it when a favorite author starts to become a chore to read…luckily that rarely happens for me. I‘ve always been a really big Roberts fan and she‘s consistently a 4 or 5/5 for me. But this trilogy was a slogfest and in a word frustrating. Her writing style has begun getting on my last nerve, and I‘m not sure if that‘s a change in her or me. Maybe me as it looks from reviews that mine is an unpopular opinion. 🤷🏻‍♀️

willaful I'm also having a hard time too, have DNF'd two Roberts books already. And a friend of mine was not a fan either of these either, so you're definitely not alone. 1mo

Okay this is why I try to read a series when all the books are out … from beginning to end this takes you through it and still delivers a punch… that ending though… this is one of the best I‘ve read in a while … and now I have to wait for the final book

Very much a middle book, full of trademark Nora fun characters and witty banter. Things happened, but it felt like this was longer than it really needed to be. I still look forward to the third book of the trilogy. 3.5⭐️

I did indeed finish it last night, so it‘s off my #20inFour list. Ended in a cliff hanger as did Inheritance, so now I‘ve gotta wait a year for the last book but I‘m still glad I read it. @Andrew65

There‘s a greater than average chance that I‘ll finish The Mirror today, as I e only 6 chapters left. Thanksgiving is likely to be a dine and dash at my sisters because my brother in law has covid (but I work with him so I‘ve already been exposed, plus I might still have some immunity from having it myself a few months ago). Work went bananas about the time we moved (about a year and a half ago) and although I‘ve kept reading, posting about it fell by the wayside. I managed to not get COVID in the beginning but finally got it late in the summer. This is my brother in laws second time around. My niece has had it twice, so has my parents and a few friends. 13mo

CocoReads @CoverToCoverGirl not really on the writing, and I work too much for the weekly card game. I did go over and play when I took a week off in October. This working thing is really getting in my way of a good time. 🤣 I only lol at my taste and smell for a couple of weeks, that was bad enough. Three years is a long time. Thankfully mine wasn‘t too bad. 13mo
