A dark and twisty Cinderella retelling that makes Cinderella the monster who goes bump in the night. Really liked the ending.

What a surprise this was, I think it‘s my favorite Cinderella retelling ever. It was wildly imaginative.
The narration by EJ Lavery was quite good.

A horror-twisted fairytale retelling of Cinderella, as told by one of her “wicked” stepsisters?! I could barely contain my excitement for this one!! Eunice, the same age as her new stepsister, is hardly looking forward to another sister (or a new father), but after a disastrous first introduction, she becomes a quick study in the rules for being near Cinderella. With fun nods to the well-known versions & gruesome scenes, I couldn‘t stop listening!

Singout Interesting! One of the short stories in Chrysalis, which I just reviewed, is also a retelling of Cinderella. 7mo

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I had a really fun time listening to this one! It‘s a little gross at times, but still a fresh take on the story! I‘m excited to see what the author writes next! 7mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 Plus, I‘m not surprised that you also love retellings and Cinderella!! We have the same great taste!! 🤣 7mo
JenlovesJT47 Lol so true 💁🏻‍♀️😆 have you read any of the Disney Villains series? It‘s really good. I‘ve only read 2 so far, Maleficent and the one about Snow White‘s mother. There‘s one about Lady Tremaine from Cinderella that I hope to get to one of these days. This is the first one 7mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I have read a few, too— the Snow White one also, and the Ursula one but not the Cinderella one!But it is already in my wishlist! 🤣 7mo
JenlovesJT47 Of course! I‘m not surprised. And my TBR is out of control so I understand! 🤓 7mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 Same, book twin, same!!!🤣 7mo

A Lovecraftian fairytale retelling. Definitely graphic horror.

You know the story but imagine the stepsisters being the victims of a monstrous disgusting evil shapeshifting putrefying creature.

Cinderella, a cosmic horror.

I loved Eunice and the description of the monster and the havoc she creates.

Spooktober is looming. Great story to add to your TBR!!

This fairytale made me smile. 🤷🏼‍♀️
