This one started out with a bang and had me hooked for the first 1/3, but then it started to feel tedious. By the time it ended, I was sory of glad to be done with it. There were a few too many twists, though admittedly, a few of them were unexpectedly good.

Another 5 🌟 for Darby Kane. This book was smart, complex, and a total page turner. The characters are all amazingly crazy, and the twists are scary!

It took me a couple hours to feel invested in the story but once it did I was intrigued. This is definitely more of a soap opera like book & there were plenty of twists. I haven‘t read the author before so I‘d be curious to read her others. Not the best thriller I read as the only sympathetic characters were the main character & the kids. It makes for a thrilling listen overall.

This book almost gave me whiplash! The twists, the turns, the shocks…I just held on and enjoyed every minute of the ride. Yes, there are some plot points that seem a little too easy and some revelations were pretty obvious but I don‘t even care! Just a fun time! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I wanted to like this book more, but it just felt like a cheesy imitation of a Raymond Chandler novel, from the dialogue to the action to the characters. I didn‘t like any of them. I was probably meant to sympathize with Addison, but she‘s just not a sympathetic character. The plot got stretched a little too thin for my taste and there were too many gotcha moments. I still don‘t know who to believe on some of them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was great. It has everything I love in a good book. Laughter, thrills, intense behavior, family, murder, who done it... It's filled with action from start to finish.
