Pickpick

A decent thriller set in Alaska. The story kept me engaged and there were some fun twists at the end. There were also a bunch of typos, especially near the end, and some weird choices, like including a completely unnecessary glossy with an entry for “bumping uglies“. But for a local author and an independent publishing company, it was good.

Water witching/dowsing/water divining. Using a Y-shaped twig or two L-shaped rods, this pseudoscience is a technique for finding underground sources of water. In the tagged book, a couple in Alaska hire a witcher to help them determine a spot to dig for their well. The witcher has a strange reaction at the spot they've chosen; could it have something to do with the ancient Indian caves below their property?

1. @wildalaskabibliophile and I always get a bag of candy corn and a bag of the pumpkins at the start of the season. We enjoy them, but in moderation, so it usually lasts us at least the month, if not a little longer. We'll see what the sales are like on 11/1 😁

2. Alaskan ghost killer

TheSpineView Do you any trick or treaters where you are or is the candy for adult enjoyment? Thanks for playing! 2mo

Staying close to home with a thriller set on the Kenai Peninsula, about an hour from where we live. Written by a local author, a young couple may have disturbed an ancient evil while attempting to dig a water well.
