I recall enjoying this book although not quite as much as the first in the series, Angela‘s Ashes.

I read Angela‘s Ashes nearly 25 years ago and his story is seared into my head and heart. I finally got to this and reading how he negotiated NYC as a 19–yr old with his strong brogue and red eyes immediately had me feeling as though I‘d finished his first book only a day prior. This was a great book to read on the Eve of St Patrick‘s Day!
Look what I scored at the Little Library at Jess Walter's house! Can't wait to see him tonight!
Camping this weekend with my son's Cub Scout Pack. I thought I came without a book, but was very relieved to find this old copy of 'Tis in my bag. Now I'm tent reading. ⛺️
This is the only book on my shelf that is a #onewordtitle I guess I like wordy titles lol #riotgrams @bookriot
Gathered up all the books that have come in over the last month. I've got some reading to do! Any suggestions on where to start?
I. LOVED. THIS. MEMOIR!!!!!! For #booktober day 11, one of the most heart-wrenching (& hilarious) pieces of NF I've read. A fantastic and worthy read about one young man's immigration experience. #memorablememoirs
