The top 3 are the ones I want to tackle first. We‘ve been working with an amazing qualified R+ dog trainer for our littlest doodle who‘s doing much better with her anxiety and reactivity. Thankful for mental health meds for dogs! But I really want to dig deeper to boost her quality of life even more.

And I definitely want to address my menopause symptoms so I can be at my best to help littlest doodle.

AnnCrystal Poor sweet puppy 💕🙏🐕🐾💝. 3w
DogMomIrene @AnnCrystal 💜💜💜 After 7 years of trying a lot of different training techniques, we found our current trainer, who encouraged us to see a veterinary behaviorist. Best money spent ever. Her anxiety meds have helped her so much. We‘re at the last hump of helping her feel more secure in the world. 3w
AnnCrystal @DogMomIrene 😘💕🐕💝. Poor baby. Glad you've finally found something to help her. Have you tried those anxiety coats for dogs? Like the ThunderShirt. Not sure if they work... (edited) 3w

sherrisilvera My maltipoo is a hot anxiety mess. Tried the thundershirts and some meds. Nothing has worked. 3w
DogMomIrene @AnnCrystal The swaddling thunder shirt can help a little. Usually in home environment. The meds have helped her relax much more at home. Like she‘s finally getting deep restful sleep. She has some noise phobia, but I‘m using pattern games & positive reinforcement to normalize booms, which has helped enormously. 3w
DogMomIrene @sherrisilvera I‘m so sorry. Did you try different dosing & med combos? We‘re really fortunate to have an amazing vet behaviorist who got med selection & dosing really accurate out of the box, which lead to Lizzie being able to sleep … actual deep restful sleep. She‘s actually gained weight because she‘s not burning as many calories from being anxious. 3w
DogMomIrene @dabbe Thank you!💜💜💜 I really try to make her life as good as possible. 3w
AnnCrystal @DogMomIrene that's good 🙏💝. Sweet little baby. Never realized how serious anxiety could be for our fur babies. Glad you found yourself a good vet 💕🐕💝. 3w
sherrisilvera She's basically ok unless I leave. She's a Covid dog and my adults sons were here plus I live in mother- daughter with parents. She doesn't know how to be alone but cries even with family members if I'm gone. I tried meds before a vacation a few years ago. Changing dose on one did nothing. Other was too strong. She's little, only 8 lbs, so meds are tough. No vet behaviorist less than 1.5 hours away. I'm hoping maybe age will mellow her 3w
sherrisilvera Eventually. She's 4 now and happy otherwise. Eats like a pig! I'm glad you're dog is on a great track. I'm sure it's a huge relief!! 3w
