This novel just did not click for me. Botswana was underutilized, the characters were unlikable, the pacing was slow, the final reveal was unsurprising.
It was my 2nd “locked room“ thriller that I didn't love, although the other did the locked room parts well (Reprieve). This one dragged and became repetitive.

I love making these lists😁

April #Bookspin success!
My 3rd spin was finally a good one.
Caledon Books sent this sometime at the beginning of the pandemic and it got lost in a pile till last month. I usually prefer audio for nonfiction but this was a fast read highlighting the gay men victims' lives rather than the serial killer.

#wondrouswednesday catch up
1. In the past few years i have found that I just love the Craig Johnson Longmire Series. They are my go-to if I want great writing, a great cast of characters in the beautifully described setting of Wyoming.
2. Being with book people that just want to discuss all things bookish.
3. The tagged book. I loved A Gentleman In Moscow and can't wait to get to this one.
Thanks for the tag @Eggs
I did the audio version. Nothing new here but a lovely walk down memory lane.
#Bookspin April 2022

This was pure entertainment. Unique and quirky characters with an action packed plot. So enjoyable!
Beautiful in every single way - the words, the illustrations, the tone, the message....everything!
"Sometimes the first step towards change is closing our eyes, taking a breath, and imagining a different way." - from the author's note. ❤
This book was like a big hug. The illustrations were everything.
