Reportage style text that follows 27 murder houses, giving us the details of the murder, killer(s) and victim(s), as well as the selling history of the home. This is a super well researched, facts only text that covers the super famous cases (Lizzie Borden, JonBenet Ramsey) but also more obscure ones. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a really interesting book and it brought up some very good points about real estate disclosure when selling a house. It was well researched and definitely had more substance to it than I would have expected!
I have made a resolution to not waste my time on books that don‘t hold my interest. So I‘m moving on to A Man Called Ove. Much better already.
Just found the True Crime section at my library. Audible recommends this one for me, but I thought I‘d rather read the physical book.

Short chapters about famous murders through history that don‘t go in depth into the crimes. The writing is mediocre- I feel there are better true crime podcasts out there that tell the same stories.
The writing was so blunt it took away from the stories. It wound up being more about the people than the houses or the murders that took place.
Been on a creepy/horror book kick lately. Hope this one is good. Any favorite creepy/horror/psychological thriller recs?
