Wax | 
panAnother case of judging a book by its cover, which in the version I clicked buy on was a wax thumbs up. Possibly the most alliterative main character name, Poppy Palladino. About a town around a candle factory, where something fishy is going on. I didn't feel particularly invested in any of the characters. It's got a bit of a sci-fi bend to it, but it wasn't for me.
I know I've already posted this quote but I'm also using it as my #ReadersResist mantra for the week. It's definitely worth keeping in mind.
so-soOverall, this is a quick read with just enough humor to keep it interesting. I liked Poppy, even though her level of self-absorption might be annoying to an adult. What else can you expect from a high school student? Dud was a well-developed character too. Now, back to reading for #LitsyAtoZ, and other various challenges.
A fellow Litten posted this as a book they enjoyed (along with several others I have also acquired from the library) and I'm being sucked in. Le sigh...I really need to continue my attack on my #LitsyAtoZ lists unabated.
