This book gave me so much anxiety! All Ember does is lie. She just does things without really thinking it through. I read about 80% and had to take a break because she did this thing that I knew was going to bite her in the butt. Finished it up and am glad I did. It was a nice lesson for her to learn but still.

DGRachel I haven‘t heard of any of them and I am not sold on any of the descriptions. I‘m leaning towards skipping but I may go with either Too Old for This or Well, Actually. Maybe The Hounding or Moderation. (None of them! All of them! Flip a coin. 🤣🤣) 4w

Megabooks @DGRachel Some months are like that! I usually have to get one book from SOMEWHERE, but that's just me! So if I've skipped BOTM already, I definitely have to get an Aardvark - but I've only skipped one month of Aardvark in almost three years, so I'm usually happy with at least one of their choices! 4w

Megabooks @Jess Some of the medical things in Once and Future Me are trigger-y for me, so I skipped that. But even with those issues, it still sounded good. I knew I'd be too afraid to crack it open, though. Enjoy! 4w

I actually really enjoyed this one, and I was not expecting it! A good mix of humour, monster smut and Scottish lore, I think this is a good book to pick up if you haven‘t quite branched out into this genre. While I‘d say it‘s tame, it also delivers on what you should expect 😉.

And a hot, grumpy Scotsman doesn‘t hurt.
