Abby Jimenez never disappoints! I know that there will be a happy ending, however I also like how her books don‘t shy away from how hard life is.

The three Maxwell sibling have been staying away from the house they grew up in for years. Something unexplainable took place there. Is the house itself evil? Now they are forced to come back and face their past.
I found parts of the story interesting, but overall it didn‘t quiet work for me. It was not a book I was eager to get back to.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.
Look out for this one on January 28.

Ann Patchett definitely can write but this was not my favorite by her.
Love Abby Jimenez. This was no exception.
Just discovered yesterday that she has a new book out April, 2025 called Say You‘ll Remember Me. Can‘t wait!

An engaging post-apocalyptic thriller about an Anishinaabe community.
Some of these I loved, others I didn‘t care for at all. Interesting list.
Great narrator. I enjoyed it but thought it was a bit too on the nose.
This was great! Couldn‘t stop reading.

This was a difficult read because of the subject matter. I think it‘s an important story and well writtten.
In a world where AI is getting more and more prominent, this was a very interesting and at the same time a bit frightening book. It made me think about the way we interact with and take care of the world and the people around us. At its core it‘s a story about family and motherhood and the things we do to keep our children safe and happy.

You know that amazing feeling you get after reading a couple of pages of a new book and knowing right away that this will be a book you‘ll love. That‘s the feeling I got when starting The Cliffs and it lasted all through the book.
I loved Jane‘s story. All the hardships and flaws as well as the great friendships and love. Interweaved with her story is the history of a place and the women who lived there.
Thank you to NetGalley for the e-galley.
Love the Skyland series and can‘t wait for Hendrix‘s story.
What other books by Kennedy Ryan do you recommend?

Funny and smart novel about two queer siblings and their interesting family. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-galley.
Today was a snow day for me so I could spend all day reading this magical story. If you loved The Wishing Game, this one will not disappoint. The author started with a fitting quote from C.S. Lewis. “Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.” I am old enough. Loved it!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-galley.
4 stars until the ending. Way too long of a book for that kind of ending.
Great book about four siblings and their fight to keep their ancestral land.
If you liked the author‘s first book One Summer in Savannah, this one will not disappoint.

I really liked this book and had to keep reading to find out what would happen to Ava and her son.
This book hooked me from the start. What happened to all the women who have gone missing. This mystery is set in Ireland and the audio is fantastic!
Put this on your tbr for March.
A great page turner about Lucy who can‘t remember the night her best friend was killed. Everyone seems to think she did it, but there was no proof. It‘s now 5 years later and a podcaster has taken an interest in the case.
I loved Lucy and her spunky grandmother. The podcast episodes between chapters added an extra layer. Highly recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-galley.
Had to read this before watching the show on Apple TV. It was great!!
Has anyone started the show?
This books follows members of the Sioux on a North Dakota reservation. It starts in the 1980s going back to the 1800s. It‘s a story about family, love and tradition.

This has been on my shelf since 2014. I don‘t know what took me so long. It was great!!
3.5 stars. A story about family, love and storytelling. The different timelines didn‘t work well in my opinion and I did not feel a connection to the characters.
