I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought it was so well written and engaging. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good historical. A friendship made story. Secrets revealed. And so much more.

Quick, engaging read—I couldn‘t wait to see how it ended. I suspected foul play, but was surprised and pleased by the uplifting resolution. Meissner weaves past and present well, though it didn‘t fully wow me. A satisfying story with a hopeful ending.
Susan Meissner had long been a favorite author of mine and, while this book wasn‘t a favorite, it still was pretty good. I haven‘t read a lot set during the Red Scare after WWII and it was interesting to see our three women navigate this strange new world in the already strange land of Hollywood. It has a somewhat satisfying ending but there were a few storylines I wish had wrapped up a little differently. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

⭐️Great setting of the McCarthy era!
⭐️Full of friendships and secrets! https://reecaspieces.com/2025/03/19/a-map-to-paradise-by-susan-meissner-bookrevi...
Set during the McCarthy era, we meet three women with different backgrounds and current situations.
They all have secrets - how will they become connected?
Started out slowly for me, but once background information and their predicaments were revealed, I enjoyed a thoughtful, well-researched read. 4/5
