pickNo matter how much you read about 9/11, you will always find new stories of help and heroism and odd coincidences, such as that of an old fireboat set for demolition but saved and restored the year before and which saved the day when NYFD couldn‘t use damaged hydrants near the WTC. Proof even adults can learn from picture books.

pickWinner of the Boston Globe- Horn book Nonfiction Award. I enjoyed this book because it gave a create story line but also an effective setting that I personally enjoy learning about. 9/11 was a hard time in history, and seeing a positive story like this one come out of it, is enjoyable and reassuring to some people.
Was a great story that interlooped an outside history with a courageous aspect nobody might of ever thought about before. It was interesting to see a different aspect on 9/11 than i'm used to.
